Sortez le champagne! After months of training, Marco Ziani has gone on to win his first classic: Uttendorf - Matrei in Osttirol.
After having seen his two lieutenants crash out and have a mechanical failure, Ziani managed to hang on and take the win when the race came down to a three man sprint at the top of the Großglockner.
Ziani will now return to training, focusing on achieving his full potential, while awaiting the arrival of his two new team-mates: Evan Anquetil and Simon Faivre. Depending on how fast contracts are signed, the three riders will hopefully start racing together in Haute-Savoie on day 62 of this season.
The team's goal is now to keep moving up through the divisions while winning some more classics on the way, Division F's Bali Classic being the next on the list.
